Humanist Funeral Celebrant in Newport
I’ve had the privilege of leading funeral ceremonies for Newport families on many occasions, and I understand that when grief arrives here, it tends to be felt collectively. Newport communities look after their own.
I serve families across Newport and the surrounding area, from Caerleon and Cwmbran through to Risca and the Sirhowy Valley. For families in Newport, a popular choice is Gwent Crematorium in Croesyceiliog, Cwmbran - a well-maintained, recently updated, dignified facility where I regularly conduct services. Other families prefer Langstone Vale Crematorium on Magor Road, a newer site with beautiful natural light and a peaceful setting.
A ceremony led by Kimberley is built entirely around the individual who has died: who they were, what they valued, who they loved and who loved them. I spend time with families before the ceremony, listening carefully, gathering the stories and details that make a person truly them. The ceremony I then write reflects all of that.
I work alongside a number of Newport’s funeral directors and am happy to be contacted either directly by families or through their funeral director. Families are always entitled to request a specific celebrant, regardless of which funeral director they use.
For Newport families who have chosen a direct cremation for their loved one, I offer memorial services and celebrations of life at a location of your choosing. That might be a community venue in Pill, a garden in Rogerstone, or somewhere else entirely that held meaning for the person you’ve lost. A separate, unhurried memorial can be a profound way to mark a life when the cremation itself was private.
