Humanist Funeral Celebrant in Vale of Glamorgan

The Vale of Glamorgan is one of the most varied and beautiful parts of South Wales — from the Victorian seafront at Penarth and the bustling community of Barry to the ancient market town of Cowbridge and the quiet lanes of the rural Vale. I’ve led ceremonies across this whole area and count it among the places I know best.

Based in St Fagans on the western edge of Cardiff, I’m extremely well placed to serve families throughout the Vale. The main crematorium for the area is the Cardiff and Glamorgan Memorial Park and Crematorium on Port Road East in Barry - a beautiful site with a peaceful, park-like setting that I know well. Some families may Vale may also use Thornhill Crematorium in Cardiff. Cardiff and The Vale Natural Burial Meadow is a particular favourite of mine, offering a stunning view over Cardiff and the Vale.

What I offer is a completely bespoke, non-religious funeral ceremony. Every ceremony I lead begins with a detailed conversation with the family, gathering the stories, character, and values of the person who has died. The ceremony that results from that conversation is unlike anything that could be written for anyone else.

If your loved one had a direct cremation, or if you’d like to hold a celebration of life separately from the funeral, I can lead a memorial service anywhere in the Vale that feels right to you. The seafront at Penarth, a garden in Llantwit Major, a hall in Rhoose — a meaningful gathering can happen anywhere.
